Description

A tour that will allow the user to reminisce/remember/tribute some of the facilities of the Aristide Le Dantec National Hospital Center (CHNALD), through a scaled recreation of the original map. The user will be able to observe the facades of the buildings housing the specialties of maternity, pediatrics, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology, while learning details of the hospital's history through audio narrations and photographs. The application is available in French and Wolof.

The hospital, named after the physician Aristide Le Dantec, founder of the African School of Medicine, was built in 1912 and had 10 medical specialties and around 400 beds. In 2022, it was partially demolished to make way for the construction of new facilities.
