Addressing the community building needs among Year 1 engineering students, the project entails the development and deployment of new software for an online social network, akin to commercial social media publicly available apps in common usage. This platform leverages the online socialization habits of this generation of students, where they can connect to like-minded friends of their choosing, post and respond to content, and access the social network from their mobile devices anywhere, anytime.
