Description

Titrate! is a titration simulator with a real 'hands-on' feel about it.
- Titrant can be added from the burette in a steady stream, or drop-wise, or as a single drop.
- You see the meniscus of titrant in the burette as it falls.
- You see the indicator colour change in the flask.
- It's just as easy to overshoot the endpoint in this app as it is in real-life... and it's just as easy to use good practices to avoid overshooting the endpoint.

Titrate! is useful to teach the theory and practice of acid-base titrations by showing the equipment, the titration conditions, changes in indicator colour and the titration plot in one glance.

Student mode offers an even more authentic experience, and makes it possible for students to collect data manually, use the data to do paper calculations, and then check that they received the correct result.

Screen annotation. It is easy to emphasise key ideas while teaching about titrations by drawing directly on the screen.

Titrate! comes with a broad selection of acids, bases and indicators.

What’s New

Version 1.0.08

Some bugs dealt with, and minor cosmetic improvements. The concentrations of acids and bases have been limited to reasonable values, so that the calculations working behind the scenes don't lose their way.
