Description

App is designed to empower kids to express with family, educators, and peers. The app is built upon the principles of AAC & PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).

Introducing our new AAC app, designed to empower children to express themselves to their parents, educators, and peers. This application is built upon the principles of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and Picture Exchange Communication System, both of which are recognized as effective strategies for enhancing communication in individuals with autism or developmental delays.

Our app features a comprehensive collection of PODs / Categories, each representing a word that a child may need in their daily life. Each category is paired with a clear vector image that visually represents the word, making it easier for the child to communicate their thoughts and needs. It also provide text-to-speech functionality. When a category is selected, it reveals a set of phrases for the child to choose from. Once a phrase is selected, it is read aloud by a text-to-speech robot, further aiding in communication. Also short video clip for the related category/topic helps kids to visualize and get familiar with word or phrase.

Customization feature of our AAC app is one of its most powerful aspects. This feature allows users to create their own PODs (Category), essentially custom galleries or collections of pictures that cater to the unique needs and experiences of the user. User can select media from deivice, search thousands of gallery images, icons, AI powered Text-to-Images and crop, rotate, flip the final image as needed.

For instance, you could create a POD for a specific event or memory, such as a family trip. You can upload pictures from the trip and pair them with relevant words or phrases. This not only aids in communication about the trip but also serves as a visual reminder of the experience, which can be particularly beneficial for children with memory-related challenges.

Similarly, you could create a POD for a visit to the zoo, with categories representing different animals, activities, or experiences associated with the visit. This can help the child communicate their thoughts and feelings about the trip, both during and after the visit or creation of PODs focused on life skills. These could include category related to daily routines, hygiene practices, or social interactions. This can be a valuable tool for teaching and reinforcing these essential skills in a visual and interactive way.

Our app is specifically designed to assist children who are dealing with mental, learning, or behavioral disorders, with a particular focus on Autism. However, it is also suitable for individuals with a range of conditions, and also younger toddlers to learn faster.

We have pre-configured and tested PODs suitable for preschoolers and school-age children. However, the app is highly customizable and can be adapted for use by adults or older individuals who are dealing with similar disorders or fall within the aforementioned spectrum.

The core functionality of our AAC app is available for free, making it accessible to all who might benefit from it. We believe in creating a world where everyone, regardless of their communication abilities, has the tools they need to express themselves. Our new AAC app is a step towards that goal.
