A suggestion

UBA, you guys are amazing but I don’t stay in Nigeria and the customer service takes 6 days to respond through email, phone calls eat up all my credit and maybe no one even picks up. It would be amazing if you guys can allow your customers to use a “card control” feature like WEMA bank APP(ALAT) where we can choose the country we are going to and how long we’ll stay there and then activate our cards immediately for abroad use using the app. Also just like ALAT(WEMA), it would be amazing if we can unfreeze our accounts that have been blocked using our valid ID card on the app. Like I said, I’m not in Nigeria and your customer service is really poor... days to weeks to reply. Thanks

Errors in the app

There is a problem I would love to discuss with the UBA. I have an account in UBA and I make use of UBA mobile banking app to transfer funds. I wanted to make a transaction with the mobile banking app and I mistakenly inputted the wrong password. When I inputted the wrong password, there was an option that came out if I have forgotten my password. I quickly clicked the option and there was phone number, old password and new password. Immediately I inputted the new and old password, there was a message sent to me via SIM card from UBA which contains some digits which is to be inputted in the UBA mobile banking for verification which I did.
My point is changing of passwords through mobile banking apps is not good. Any banking problem encountered by a customer is meant to be solved in a UBA branch not in an ordinary app. Had it been someone has my phone password, opened my mobile banking app, inputted a wrong password which forgotten password box must appear and then changes my password through the mobile banking app. Can’t you see there is no security???.
Please, the UBA software engineer has to reprogram the app in such a away that changing of passwords through mobile banking apps or any UBA banking or online platform has to be disabled.
Because someone can just pick up your phone, change your password and then have access to your account.
I am a huge fan of UBA and I so much love UBA.

I wish I never opened an account with this bank

So ever since their apps interface changed I have been unable to access my account details. My account details are not showing and I can’t make transfers or even buy data. I have tried multiple times to reach out to customer service but it seems as though till someone takes drastic measures they do not care about their customers. Their customer service workers do not continue to deal with you within few minutes of no response and are unable to go back and read previous chats. That also being said they have not fixed the issue I have brought to them, they instead suggested another app of theirs which also failed after 1 week of use. Their Ai bot is as good as useless and they could honestly do better. My only saving grace was that I had another bank that is more reliable. I will be going to their physical bank soon to complain and I may close my account in turn. I am heavily unsatisfied with their less than mediocre service. Shame on you.
