Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver 4+

It’s important for the Uber development team to understand that the number one reason why drivers tend to pick Bolt trips more than Uber trips is because of the rider’s destination that made available to the Pilot when the request comes in…. As a Pilot, when there’s surge in both apps, I’d rather on my Bolt app than Uber, because I prefer long trips during surge hours, although some pilots prefer short trips, so I’d rather do a trip on Bolt of 1.3x which would give me about 3000, than do a trip of 1.8x on Uber when I do not know where the person is going to…. Psychologically, people can wait for 2hrs when there’s certainty than wait 20mins in uncertainty, same thing applies to driving, people want to be certain of where they’re going to before accepting a request…. We’re actually not asking for much, we just need the region and if probably the Estate’s or
Hotel’s name so we know the region we’re going to…. I’d tell you that this is a huge! huge! Shortcoming to the Uber app and this is what every driver complains of in the Uber Community…

I say this because Bolt is actually dealing with it’s Pilot based on driver’s score and confirmation rate policy right now and most drivers are switching to Uber, but the major barrier holding them is this…. Nothing more! Nothing less! And I can promise you that if this be reviewed, you’ll see a swarm of drivers coming back to the Uber platform…

Uber should be fair to both riders and drivers. In Lagos Uber charges per distance and time while in Abuja it is not same, thinking there is no traffic in Abuja, whereas people are so smart that they chose a location that is cheaper but when you get there, you hear go left, go right taking you for an extra ride of almost 10 minutes yet the fare remains. What happens to the fuel you use on a particular trip and don’t get paid and the you spend in traffic due to rush hour. Uber should be considerate not only to the rider but the driver as well. Again you notice driving for 15 minutes to pick up a rider and it is a close by trip or going to drop a rider and no trip request back from the destination, I think all these can be checked and the driver compensated for the efforts, not allowing the driver use up fuel and time without any benefits. Somebody wrongfully reported me on the Uber app and I was suspended without further investigation. I went to the green light hub in my location which is Maryland Nigeria and the customer care service confirmed that my claim is true. Even the customer sent several messages to the customer care to confirm the authenticity of my claim. Still the customer services were unable to do nothing as regards the matter. I just think Uber can do better. If you are going to suspend people. I think you should investigate the matter thoroughly since your customer care in here don’t have access to the app. Thanks
