You can control the game with keyboard (space or return for shooting, p for pause, esc or back key for back) and/or touchpad. For movement of the ship you could also use the cursor keys. Press UP or space to shoot

Of course also with a Mouse! Just point and click to shoot.

Keyboard controls:

Keys AWSD, Cursor keys: Menu navigation and shuttle control
Space-, Return-key: Select menu
In game: Space-, Return-key, Cursor up, W-key: Shooting
ESC- or P-key in-game: Pause
Back-key: Back to last menu
