As a long-time user of Affinity Designer 1, I was eagerly anticipating the release of Affinity Designer 2, and it has not disappointed. This powerful vector design app has taken my design work to new heights, offering an array of new features and enhancements that streamline the creative process.
One of the standout aspects of Affinity Designer 2 is its intuitive user interface. Building on the solid foundation of version 1, the new version introduces a more refined and user-friendly layout, making navigation and tool access even more efficient. This has significantly reduced the time I spend searching for functions and allowed me to focus more on my creative output.
Performance-wise, Affinity Designer 2 is a powerhouse. It handles complex vector illustrations and large files with ease, maintaining smooth and responsive performance throughout. The enhanced toolset, including new vector warp tools and advanced shape construction options, offers greater flexibility and precision in design work. These improvements have made creating intricate designs and experimenting with complex shapes a seamless experience.
One of the most significant advantages of Affinity Designer 2 is its integration with the other apps in the Affinity suite. Terrible app
As an illustrator, all my life I used all kinds of graphic apps. And I am a professional, experienced expert. Work with Illustrator, Inndesign, Photoshop, CorelDraw from vs 1 to now, conceptsPro, Photopaint, CorelPaint etc… Also with dozins of other programmes in Music, music notation, composing etc. I also worked satisfying with the old Serif apps. Made my websites with it and other tasks mainly in Windows.
From the start of Infinity I tried to master the app and later also Photo and publisher too.
None chance. Too complicated, too steep learning curve, too many problems to solve. Too much handling, No overview. Not usable.
WITHOUT ANY RESULT.
The only advance is the price ticket. But without usability, even that is too much. Unfortunately I can’t recommend it. Throw it away.
