Disappointing apps
This is my first asustor device and I was expecting an a-brand user experience, but the software and apps are not at the same level as the hardware. AiData -as one example- is terribly slow compared to the competition and the design is very dated (to put it mildly). Text is badly aligned and screen space is not used efficiently. It also still shows black bars on an 11” iPad Pro, which has been around for three years. You can play most video files, but navigation isn’t great and it will tell you that “open in” is not supported for “online meida” files (their typo, not mine). My videos are not online files, but there is no way to play them using a better, player from within AiData.
I had high hopes for ADM 4.0 and accompanying apps, but they still leave a lot of room for improvement.

Aidata crashes often after the last update
After the last update the app crashes on me at the moment I try to connect to my NAS. Or try to configure a new connection.l
So in short unusable for me.
Could be better
It does what it needs to, what i would appreciate is sound with video”s. Even with the browser there is no sound.

Do you mean that there is no sound while you play videos from AiData and Mobile browser (Safari) ? Would you mind telling us what's audio format (codec) of these videos ?
