Crash whole phone once a day

Honestly… if not for the bugs, this is quite perfect, so I’m overthinking some stuff. But right now, this app often freezes your whole phone (ios18).

Other bugs:
- moving back and forth between tracks often makes the app lose track of what’s playing, so it’ll show you the wrong song;
- lyrics rarely ever sync in time with the song… again… sometimes they do, especially when you restart the app;
- after a while you must restart the app, because it just won’t play anything.

None of the above is an issue with other apps, so it’s not Jellyfin. But… still… this is a good app, just needs work.

(oh and the Mac port just crashes 100% of times)

I am aware of these issues and will fix them once ShelfPlayer 2.5.0 is released. Let me give you some context in the meantime:

The crashes are most likely caused by the now playing background which conflicts with system overlays, and, due to a lack of other physical devices I cannot verify this, I think this is caused by some updated in iOS 18 that changes the way they are rendered, possibly because of the control centre update.

And the Mac “port” is just a glorified unsupported iPadOS built, which is why it is free and not distributed through the AppStore.
