I used to use the Caffeine app. Unfortunately, that one doesn't work on Mojave. This app (Amphetamine) is an even better alternative, with more customization options. Love it!

This app should be in all operatings systems. By default. This is a must have. I especially like the “while app is running” setting. Thanks William.

This app has already helped me tons of times. Big downloads and long processes aren't recognised by MacOS as a reason to stay active. This app allows you to set a timer, make your app run till a specific time, and it can even check if the file you're downloading is still getting bigger, thus still downloading. It's super easy and super useful. Plus I love the name and the little Pill icon, so funny!Well done and thanks a ton!

Love this app!Unfortunately the app freezes after some time on my Cataline OS. I have to Force quit the app but after that it won't start anymore and i get following message from MacOS : "The application “Amphetamine.app” is not open anymore." and i can only click OK button and nothing happens.I have to restart my MacBook Pro 15inch model 2015 to make things work again until it freezes up again.

Gebruik deze app echt al heel veel jaar, ideaal voor wanneer je computer niet in slaap mag vallen. Denk aan screenrecording, muziek opnemen etc.

Amazing tool, very well made and you can clearly see the love that went in it. Does exactly what it needs to do and more. Recommend!

Have been using amphetamine for years and it’s still the best option out there. Perfect for when you watch a movie via airplay or play music and want to close the lid. Watch out you never leave it running and put it in your bag.

This is what I should have known long before. Works great and helps me with these time consuming uploads that I do. Many thanks for this free app!

In macOS Tahoe I couldn’t open the settings/menu window. The only way to activate is by a right-click on the icon in the menubar. But after a remove and reinstall of the app it worked well again.

I find that Amphetamine makes the custom icons of my drives flash all the time, showing default icons or even folder icons. I’m on Sequoia.
