Overcharged
Completely scammed, untrustworthy drivers, and taking advantage of foreigners.
I was estimated a price of 12-17€ for a short journey in Florence on the app. The price at the end came to 15.20€. I asked the driver whether he preferred cash or card. He said cash. When he saw me take out a 20€ note, he changed the number on the meter to 20€. I asked him why it was higher and he said “because of the bags”…I had a small suitcase with me. You do NOT charge exactly 4.80€ for a small suitcase he barely even helped me with.
Absolutely absurd and overpriced. He clearly took advantage because I was foreign, a student and female. I felt in a very uncomfortable situation to continue the pricing conversation and it was a horrible experience to have in the city.
Do NOT recommend.

As we have written by email, every radiotaxi has a disciplinary office so if there are measures to be taken they'll do directly. appTaxi can't manage this issue because is not about the app but about the driver behavior. For this reason we suggest you to contact the radiotaxi directly. Thank you for having inform us about this fact.
