Beat Note: Drum Notation 4+

What a great way to capture drum notations. I have tried a number of apps, but the usability of this app surpasses everything. The price is also reasonable. Also very accessible for the beginning musician. Nice work.

I am only missing an extension to the measures. For example: when counting in eighth notes and six eighth notes fit in a measure, so 6/8.

Regarding your feedback about extending measures and counting in eighth notes, I appreciate your suggestion. Adding support for 6/8 time signature and other 8th note time signatures is definitely on my radar for future updates. The product roadmap contains feature requests for all 8th note time signatures, and this is scheduled for a future release. In fact, I have some design mockups I'd be happy to share with you if you are interested. Your input helps guide the app’s development and ensures it meets the needs of all users.

Although this app is still being developed further I already like it now.! I’ve put in some fills I want to learn as well as a full bass drum workout. I can print them and/or play along with them at the desired bpm. The developer welcomes feedback.

This is a really cool app that's easy to use for beginners. It's also aesthetically pleasing which I find very calming. The background colors are a nice touch. As a beginner, this app has been very useful for noting some fills so that I can practice them when I have time. One thing that I do find a bit annoying are the measure limits. If you want more than 4 measures you have to buy a subscription, which is a shame honestly. Without that it would've been the perfect app.

Updated response: I wanted to reach out personally to inform you about a recent discovery regarding the free version of the app. It has come to my attention that there was a bug that allowed users to create an unlimited number of beats using the "Quick Create" button, contrary to the intended limit of 5 beats for non-subscribers.

The latest update (v3.3) addresses this issue. With the fix in place, non-subscribers will now be limited to creating only 5 beats, aligning with the original intended design.

I understand that this change may affect your experience with the app, and I apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. Transparency and honesty are core values for me, and I want to ensure that our users are always informed about changes and improvements to the app.

A free version of Beat Note is provided so you can experience the app and make an informed decision of whether it's worth the value to pay for a subscription.
