Description
Chiff allows you to log in to any website using your phone, making logging in safer and simpler.
With Chiff's browser extension you can securely connect your Chiff app to your browser by scanning a QR-code. Whenever you want to log in to a website, you receive a push message on your phone that you authorize with TouchID, FaceID or a passcode. Chiff sends your credentials to your browser and automatically logs you in. You don't need to remember a single password anymore!
This extension is used in conjunction with the Chiff app. You can download the Chiff app in Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store.
Why Chiff?
Since the start of the Internet we've been logging in with passwords, but this is a growing problem. To be safe, we must use unique and complex passwords for each website, which we also have to change regularly. But why do we still log in with passwords, while we can unlock our mobile phones with just our fingerprint? It's time for a different way of logging in. It's time for Chiff.
What is Chiff?

Security is our top priority. The security of the app and extension have been extensively tested by an independent third party. Moreover, Chiff never has access to your sensitive data. Your passwords are securely stored on your phone and every message between the app and browser is end-to-end encrypted, so even we cannot decrypt it. Besides being very secure, it makes Chiff also privacy-friendly.

The best app I have found to manage passwords. It also helps create super secure passwords, which are automatically stored in the app.

Update: inmiddels al een jaar geen updates meer en de whitepaper is nooit uitgebracht. Helaas
Voor nu wacht ik de technische whitepaper even af maar het is op het eerste gezicht in ieder geval veelbelovend! Wellicht is het handig om een logboek toe te voegen bij elk apparaat voor inlog verzoeken. Het importeren van CSV bestanden om je oude wachtwoord manager te migreren is momenteel een betaalde functie maar dit maakt de drempel voor potentiële nieuwe gebruikers een stuk hoger. Marketing technisch gezien niet heel handig. Ook het exporteren in CSV zou ik aan de gratis variant toevoegen om mensen het vertrouwen te geven dat ze niet ingesloten worden. Als het product goed is blijven ze vanzelf. Tenslotte: webauthn werkte nog niet op Safari en Firefox voor mij. Maar dat zal ongetwijfeld met de tijd verholpen worden. Al met al ben hier ik wel enthousiast over en ik ben benieuwd waar het heen gaat. (Ik zou de blog willen volgen maar er is helaas geen werkende RSS feed)

Hartelijk dank voor de feedback! De gevraagde features zullen in de toekomst zeker worden toegevoegd. Het importeren uit een CSV bestand is al mogelijk. In de extensie kun je op 'Alle accounts' drukken en staat er aan de linkerkant een knop 'Importeer'.
WebAuthn is inderdaad vooralsnog alleen beschikbaar in Chrome, Brave en Edge, maar we werken aan ondersteuning voor andere browsers.
