Citi Bike consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bike share is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.
The Citi Bike app gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.

The Citi Bike app also shows upcoming public transit departures, including MTA subway trains, shuttles, local, limited, & express buses, LIRR commuter rail trains, Metro-North commuter rail trains, PATH rapid transit trains, Bee-Line local & express buses, NYC Ferries, the Staten Island Ferry, the AirTrain JFK, the AirTrain Newark, the Roosevelt Island Tramway, and NJT commuter rail trains, light rail trains, & buses.

Reduce mobile data usage please

Please make your app more data friendly for international visitors with data roaming. Just few hours bike costs 80 mb of mobile expensive data. Also why is er a different app for bikes between Miami and NYC?

Not working

App does not work, paid while on WiFi for a $19 dollar day pass. While on the street I have a fully working 5G connection, all other apps and websites work, the Citi bike app was allowed to use mobile data, but as soon i use the app on the street the app says I have no internet connection. So I was no able to make any bike ride and wasted $ 19 for an unusable day pass. I tried support, got me reply back for more info. I relied 2 times but no response. App is worthless for tourist

Bad customer service

Bike gave green light but when docked and still got charged with a 150 dollar bill while the bike obviously didn’t move. Customer service does not provide a customer friendly solution for such cases. Will never use this expesive app again
