Cookie pop-ups are designed to be confusing and make you 'agree' to be tracked. This add-on automatically answers consent pop-ups for you, so you can't be manipulated. Set your preferences once, and let the technology do the rest!

This add-on is built and maintained by workers at Aarhus University in Denmark. We are privacy researchers that got tired of seeing how companies violate the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the organisations that enforce the GDPR do not have enough resources, we built this add-on to help them out.

We looked at 680 pop-ups and combined their data processing purposes into 5 categories that you can toggle on or off. Sometimes our categories don't perfectly match those on the website, so then we will choose the more privacy preserving option.

This is primarily a bugfix release:
- Fixed typos in German UI
- Fix a bug causing some popups not to be properly registered
- Improve debugging log by splitting it into two flags instead of one in the development tab

You have to allow the app to read and alter web pages

Thought it didn't block the annoying Google pop-up but it does!

Unfortunately it doesn't work with Firefox focus though. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

Reaping all the benefits from GDPR

This is basically a mandatory extension if you live in the EU, it will handle nearly all annoying cookie and consent prompts for you automatically, while a recent update even made then not block the page in some instants.

The extension is not flawless, and sometimes a bit buggy, but it will work on most websites, and people have to keep in mind that it is a cat-and-mouse game if consent framework companies realise this exists.

You set your preferences once, and this extension will fill it in everywhere, its on-par with adblockers, but more suited towards the consent banner hell we've began to encounter as a result of shady companies selling you as the product. This extension helps with that, and i recommend it to everyone.

Bug???

Please add test website to test consent-o-matic add on. To test this add on.
I have emptied all options, but I can’t see progress window, also I did enabled this option to display progress window.
And stats keeps empty.
It seem it never works.
Extensions in safari are enabled.

Maybe problem is Safari profiles or tab groups inside profile????
