tl;dr: will only make pages look worse, and will also invert sites that already have dark mode.---I installed this because many sites still don't have a dark mode, and have a white screen that blinds you. This extension fixes that, mostly. It basically just puts a filter: invert(); on it. Not great, not terrible.What I didn't know was that it also influences a lot of pages that *already do* have a dark mode, like a website that I'm working on myself. The extension inverts that too, which not only undoes my own dark mode, but washes out the colors as well. The developer couldn't even be bothered to put a filter: hue-rotate on there.I though the extension would have custom styles for a handful of websites, but instead it just tries to invert most sites. It's a terrible experience.

At first it looked like an awesome extension for Safari, and it kinda is.. But for me personally I would like to white list websites which I want to see in "dark mode". Right now it's making ALL websites dark, and I need to check/uncheck every website when visiting if I don't want it to be dark.Overall, if you just want websites to be dark, it's ok. But in general, most websites just don't look good and you'll end up disabling a lot of websites from being enabled. It's quite expensive for something that I'll stop using after just experimenting for a couple of minutes.

Only one slight detail, when you drag a page back using the touchpad you see a white page that gets turned back. When you click to start loading a page for just one second the page is white/empty before it becomes dark.Very satisfied though having this little gem on my Mac now. Thanks guys!

That is ok, but pagines are loading so slow. can you fix this?

I've just installed this to save my eyes and it works really well. I haven't visited that much websites with the plugin, but for now: well done!

The software does a great job. Its almost perfect. What I like to see changed is the option to change the colour of text in pictures from black to white/grey. In many cases black text is hard to view. So make it flexible.

If you use dark mode at night, you'll love this extension. No more getting blinded by bright websites. It works perfectly on 99% of sites and it doesn't interfere with sites that have their own dark mode. Absolute recommend.

It's impressive. Works nearly perfect for every popular website. Extra customisation per website(maybe with come css rules) would be great. Because some websites have white and black backgrounds in same screen an in that case result can not help.

To keep things brief I will simply say that this is worth the price if you want dark mode for sites. The icon is nice, and you can set it to whitelist or blacklist certain sites, or you can set it to darken all sites. If I were to nit pick I'd say that I wish there was more control over contrast, but for me "softer dark mode" is fine.

It's a shame we have to pay for this (Apple, comon)! but this Safari Extension does what it needs to do and it does it very well. Definitely worth the few euros. You can choose either to go fully black, dark gray or mono. Liking the grey. Also toggle on/off with ALT CMD L is great. The creator of this app seems to keep pushing updates which makes it very worthwhile.Thanks!

Chrome and Firefox has had "Dark Reader" for a quite a while and finally Safari has a solution too. It works reasonably well for the complexity of the task at hand - almost all colors are corectly inverted. But most importantly it does not butcher the performance if site has some animations or video that has to be constantlly redrawn as some other extensions out there.
