very buggy and not for professional use
using on a windows laptop and ipad pro 2020 with the apple pencil 2. i wanted to use this set up to do illustrations and frame by frame animation in photoshop (to immitate a cintiq, but then with the tools I already have).
for this purpose i see the app completely unfit.
– low resolution on the ipad screen
– when drawing quick and sketchy lines, there’s an extreme lag
- trying to draw precise lines is almost impossible due to an inconsistent inaccuracy on the touchscreen. sometimes the line appears only a few milimeters off from where I intended to draw, sometimes up to 1 and a half cm!!
- extreme lag when using the ‘step back’ ‘step forward’ buttons on the toolbar
basically the whole purpose and beauty of the apple pencil 2 and ipad pro (accuracy, smooth drawing experience, quality display,..) is lost.
on the other hand, it is very affordable and the concept is great. for people who dont own just a normal basic wacom and dont intend to use it professionally, this might be a good solve.
can’t match aspect ratios
would be much better if i could use the whole ipad screen. also somehow these crooks have a new app that my subscription doesn’t work on.
