Glosity’s mission is to provide equal access to exposure, knowledge and opportunities to every member of the student community and help them in anything and everything for their first career leap. Different problems plague the whole student lifecycle: Starting from knowing what all career options he or she can get into or fits into to knowing what needs to be done to excel in a career once he or she finds his/her fitment/passion. Not everyone gets the right guidance and path to excel in their career and become the best version of himself or themselves. The Difference between the top 1% or that is students studying in premier institutes to other institutes is the exposure first concerning the right learning and guidance and then equal access to employment opportunities. The Reason companies don’t hire from tier 2 or tier 3 or rather prefer to hire from tier 1 is because they have better chances of getting a good candidate fit as per their needs from tier1. They have better ROI. In the current scheme of things, companies look for soft signals to know who is a better candidate either by seeing their current pedigree, CGPA, 10th or 12th scores max. Every company knows that there could be deserving candidates from tier 2,3 and 4 institutes who would be great but they don’t hire the reason being ROI, it would be a time taking the job for companies to find the best from so many students across colleges so they prefer picking from the best. Glosity aims to solve this problem of unequal exposure and opportunity for every student by bringing in mentors who enable students to come at par with everyone else with a creator or builder-driven approach. Every student becomes a creator by doing things that are needed in the industry rather than just going by rote learning concepts. With the candidates up and ready with proof of work employers can pick them up concerning what they have created instead of just by pedigree. Glosity also helps students to go beyond their friend circle in college to interact with people who are skilled or share similar career aspirations or interests and help them collaborate to achieve greater results. Students can connect with students from other colleges and collaborate.
