Beschrijving

Graph equations in two and three dimensions. Graph explicit functions, implicit relations, parametric curves and surfaces, inequalities, points, vectors, contour plots, density plots, color maps, vector fields, ordinary differential equations, surfaces of revolution, coordinate transformations, conformal maps and complex-valued curves, surfaces, and ODEs. Use rectangular, polar, cylindrical, or spherical coordinates. Solve equations numerically, graphically, or symbolically. Symbolically evaluate indefinite and definite integrals, summations, products, and limits, simplify and expand trig identities, solve equations, systems of equations, inequalities, and differential equations symbolically, and factor polynomials.

Graphing Calculator 4 is a fine tool with several strange oddities

Graphing Calculator 4 is easy to use and very user-friendly. But unfortunately a tiny inconsistency has been found in the names of the two parameters u and v of 2D-surfaces in a 4D-space. They are at first sight very confusing with the same named co-ordinates u and v of the 4D-reference system. One should take as parameters the reserved names p and q instead of u and v. Why u and v have been chosen as parameters? One could do better! However, all over a good recomendable product.
Rudolf Lutz.

After intensive using thre Graphing Calculator 4 some strange oddities have been found. One of it is the peculiar way of typing formulae: e.g. inserting a formula at te utmost top of the math-part is impossible (up to now I hav’nt found it yet). An other oddity is more severe. After have been inserted a sequence of formulae in which a derivative occurs the graph was drawed. But adding a slider for a parameter an arrow-specification was not accepted with the obscure message “Can’t parse after the comma”. After the derivative was replaced by the transformed formula without the derivative-symbol, the arrow-specification was accepted, hence the graph could be drawed… In general the tool is fine, but often one has to experiment to get the expected results.
Rudolf Lutz.
