Whether you are an macOS or iOS developer, the number of icon sizes that need to be supplied with each app is growing enormously - for a universal iOS app that supports iOS 7+, you need to generate about 20 different sizes of your icon!

This can become very tedious and tiresome. Which is where Iconie comes in handy! Simply drag and drop your largest image (or image file) onto Iconie and it will generate all the remaining sizes for you!

It supports generating macOS and iOS icons and exporting them into ICNS (macOS), icon sets (.iconset, macOS), icon folders, or adding them to Xcode asset catalogs.

Of course, you can always supply your own version for any of the sizes by dropping it in.

Note: Some features require Xcode tools to be installed.

Works very well, interface could be better

Useful and works very well. It faithfully renders PNGs to ICNS files. Colours are exact, the icon razor sharp.

One thing though: the drag-and-drop frames are not marked very well, the layout is a bit confusing. It took me some testing to figure out what I was actually looking at and how to make good use of them. So here is a mini-instruction:

A. With just one image (1024x1024px) you can let Iconie do the job:
just drag the picture in the largest frame (marked 512x512). Easy.

B. If you have images for different sizes (1024, 512, 256, 128, 64, 32, 16 px), drag and drop the images in the gray frames like this (the order doesn’t matter):
512 frame - the 1024 as well as the 512 image | 512 is shown in the LEFT half, 1024 in the RIGHT half
256 frame - the 512 and 256 image | 256 shown left, 512 right
128 frame - the 256 and 128 image | 128 shown left, 256 right
32 frame - the 64 and 32 image | 32 shown left, 64 right
16 frame - the 32 pic and 16 image | 16 shown left, 32 right

It would’ve gotten 5 stars if the interface had been a touch more self-explaining.
