Kanji LS Touch is an App for learning japanese kanji. It utilizes the unique touch interface to intuitively teach you how to draw the Kanji by displaying strokeorder guidelines. But that's just one of the many great features helping you learning Kanji.

KANJI
- 5.000 Kanji total
- Kanji can be displayed in system font or handwriting font
- 16 Kanji Sets (marked Kanji, all Kanji, 1. - 6. Grade, Secondary School, Jōyō kanji [2010 version], JLPT Level N1 - N5)

Hidden Treasure for those who want to practice Kanji

This app is a true hidden treasure for those who want to practice Kanji. I use it in combination with Reisig’s “Remembering the Kanji” to create test sets based on the book and copy the book’s Kanji story into the App (I copy the text of the book using an OCR app).

It can also sync using iCloud (an option not listed in the options), so you do not have to use Dropbox to sync between devices. For me this is a great option to sync between iPad and iPhone, an option which is rarely encountered in similar Apps.

The tests gives a stroke-by-stroke comparison between your own input and the required stroke order (something which I have not seen in any other app).

All radicals are listed in the practice mode, with the radicals in the Kanji color-coded ! That’s great, you do not have to search the radicals, you see them immediately as they have different colors in the Kanji.

Creating multiple set sets requires some investigation in how this works (you can do it in the settings menu, under test), setting the test mode to the Leitner system is a bit hidden (in settings, under test, default it is turned off) and also the Leitner statistics are a bit hidden (also in the settings menu, the I on the test set), but as soon as you figured this out, this is no problem.

This app is my main app for training Kanji !!
