Roon replacement
For those users that own the Auralic hardware, this is a reasonable Roon replacement. I’ve been using this tool for a few months and it works really well.
Pretty ok
I have been using this for years with my Aries Mini. That is a 500 euro device so probably my expectations are a bit lower than of someone who forked out a couple of thousand for a high end Auralic.
I think the app is pretty ok, I think I prefer it to DS Audio that comes with my Synology NAS.
One thing that is weird with Lightning DS is the search function. Sometimes the search only shows the option to search radio stations and refuses to search my own music collection. Then I quit the app and the option magically re-appears.
The other thing I wish for is a way to better store artwork, liner notes and PDF booklets along side albums.
God but missing something
Is there a possibility to add the function of sorting your albums and songs by “date added”? Really would improve things a lot for me.
