Mastt is rooted in an ancient tale. On his travels, the Greek hero Ulysses (Odysseus) longed to hear the Sirens’ song without falling prey to its deadly allure. The Siren's singing was so beautiful that countless sailors before him had leapt into the sea, unable to resist. Determined to survive, Ulysses devised a plan: he ordered his crew to seal their ears with beeswax and to bind him tightly to the ship’s mast. By restraining himself in this way, Ulysses could no longer hurl himself into the water, no matter how strong the temptation. This strategy later became known as the Ulysses Pact - a commitment that forces one's future self to honour the decisions of one's present self. With Mastt, you create your own Ulysses Pact. • Creating a pact is effortless and easy. Simply add a title, a deadline and optionally a pledged amount. Mastt will remind you to get it done in time and, if you pledged money, charge you if you don't. • All your pacts can be seen in a single overview where you can mark them complete. When a pact is missed, your card will automatically be charged. Made a mistake?
