MetaGear is a simple to use app to view and edit the information (geotag, date, camera, copyright etc.) stored within your photos. With this app you can simply and quckly edit the tags of batch of images (like deleting geotag, or copyright).

With MetaGear you can:
• view Exif, IPTC, JFIF, TIFF tags from the images in human readable format
• add, edit or delete tags
• edit tags of several images at the same time
• hide the tags you don't use
• select the geolocation on map
• use MetaGear extension to edit tags right in Photos App
• create presets of metadata changes that you can apply further, organize them in groups, import/export to file.
• view actual file name, size and format
• supports Live Photos.

Easy to use, very complete, necessary app for uploading to newspapers..

Works easy

Nice app. Select pics from overview list and edit. It is simple...👍🏻 one point for Improvement : it would be nice to open the app from the share menu in photos app ( enable via more ...)

Best Metadata Editor so far

I tried a few metadata editor apps. In contrast to many others, you can select multiple photos and adjust. It works pretty self explanatory. You can adjust the view and hide the metadata you are not interested in. The data I am most interested in to change are capture time, keywords, location, file name, because this is not possible in Apple Photos on the iPad. What is really nice is that the app works as Add On in Photos.

However there are still some elements improvement for me:

* The folder structure of photos is not visible. I have many albums ordered in folders per year. Some apps show my existing structure, this one does not. Please add.
* The app has file name change functionality, including sequential numbering, but I did not manage to change names, they stay as they are.

Hello, image file renaming is not possible in iOS file system. The renaming feature in the app changes names of the files in iCloud.
