Never miss a beat with this stylish and amazingly accurate metronome: it balances the functionality you need with the precision you expect, all in an intuitive interface that's designed to get you playing as quickly as possible. Introducing Modus, from the creators of forScore.
Use audible mode for a more traditional experience, use visual mode to see the timing instead, or use both for even more flexibility. Set the tempo by typing it in, using the adjustment dial, or by clicking twice in the center of the screen. Create and switch between as many presets as you like for quick access to your most frequently-used settings.

It's okay
Basic metronome.
The good:
- lightweight, native app
- default sound is usable
- remembers last preset on opening
The not-so-good:
- I would like to be able to adjust tempo in greater increments than 1bpm using the keyboard
- Otherwise, a keyboard shortcut to switch prev/next preset would suffice
- I'd like to be able to shrink the window even smaller so that it doesn't obscure the sheet music while open
- A greater choice of sounds would be nice
- Missing a way of displaying traditional names like Andante, Moderatro, Allego, etc. Perhaps if presets could be named...?
- On a two display setup, it always opens on the "wrong" screen, covering up my sheet music
- Some global keyboard shortcuts would be nice
- No explanation of what "auto-lock" means in the preferences (as far as I can tell it's a left-over from the mobile version and does nothing on Mac)
- Tap tempo is very basic; no averaging out over multiple clips
- UI is a bit ugly in my opinion
- There'a bug where the "knob" and /- buttons go off-center when changing presets
