MOL Bubi is an environmentally friendly, fast and convenient mobility alternative in the city centre. Opt for the greenest means of public transport and use MOL Bubi!
Download the app, find a MOL Bubi bike at one of the 158 stations and you are ready to ride within a few seconds.
All this in the blink of an eye: once you have registered, you can choose the fare that best suits you, and then you will be able to read the news, give feedback, redeem a coupon or contact customer service directly.
Use the QR code scanner to pick up a bike or enter the 6-digit number seen on the rear of the bike or below the seat tube. The smart lock in the back will open with a loud click, and after the beep, you can start cycling. In the app, you can track how long you have been riding. When you are ready to finish cycling, just return the bike to any station and dock it into a free slot. Lock the bike by pressing down the lever on the smart lock until it clicks.

The new MOL Bubi application offers you everything you need to enjoy a ride by public bike in Budapest any time you wish. After registration, you can easily buy your monthly or annual MOL Bubi pass, then use the QR code scanner to pick up a bike. The optimised size of the app uses as little storage space on your phone as possible.
The MOL Bubi app is regularly updated. We aim to develop the app continuously and to offer the best user experience.

Eager to charge you with return fee while it’s their own system that is at fault
Charged me twice 5000 HUF return fee for “parking outside a station”. Both cases it was due to a flaw in their system, and they did not actually return the bike (I continued with the same bike). 1) the park/pause option doesn’t always show up, and they close some stations while there’s no other one closeby 2) Sometimes they consider a station ‘closed’ while it is actually available, or at least no indication that it is closed. So parking in an actual station doesn’t prevent them from taking your money.
Tried to contact customer service multiple times, but zero response, they just charge your bank account. Unfortunately it seems robbing tourists is their business model. Would stay away from this company.

Sorry for the inconvenience! If you return the bike at a closed station, the system will charge you with an 5000 HUF fee. You can check the available stations in the application so you can avoid the inconvenient moments. If you wrote an email to the customer service, you will get response in 30 days - as required by the law.
