This is an app for patients of the Utrecht University Medical Center, the Netherlands.
Why was this app created?
▸ This is the first medical image-sharing app in the Netherlands that is fully patient focused. The app brings many advantages and new opportunities for patients. But the main motivation to develop the app was much simpler: Patients asked for it!
What is “myBody, myData” ?
▸ myBody, myData is a concept we use to express our view that physicians and patients are pártners. Partners on a shared treatment journey. When we make X-rays, CTs and MRI scans of your body, we consider this: your Body, your Data. So we'll share it with you.
What does the myBody-myData App do for me as a patient?
▸ The app gives patients free, fast and full access to their own medical image data, in an easy to understand, interactive format, in a secure environment. If desired, including the report of your examination.
As soon as the images and the report are available in the hospital, they can be accessed in the app.

Waar blijft de foto
Een week geleden een foto laten maken. In het portaal is wel het verslag te lezen, maar hier in deze app is geen enkele foto te vinden. Klopt dat wel?
Bestaat niet meer?
Gebeld met het ziekenhuis om mijn onlangs gemaakte foto’s te bekijken maar de app is “uit de lucht” volgens haar. Hoe en wat is onduidelijk. Haal deze dan alstublieft ook dan uit de app-store!

myBody-myData is zeker niet uit de lucht. Het enige wat wij willen is dat patiënten toegang hebben tot hun eigen data.
Er loopt een groot project om deze toegang makkelijker te maken voor patiënten:
door de toegangs-toestemming te regelen via het ziekenhuis patiënten portaal, zou het allemaal makkelijker worden.
Dit is écht een goed idee!
Helaas is de realiteit dat bureaucratie en ziekenhuis-politiek dit allemaal eindeloos vertragen.
Ja, dat is droevig 😢...
...voor de dokters en IT-ers die gewoon goed hun werk willen kunnen doen. Professionals wiens drijfveer het is om iedere dag patiënten te helpen.
....maar vooral is het droevig voor onze patiënten; mensen voor wie myBody-myData niet werk is, maar voor wie het om lijf en gezondheid gaat.
We doen echt ons best!

Goeie wat trage app. Helaas verstrekt het UMC geen nieuwe beelden meer. Jammer.
