Best in the world

NiC is just the best chess magazine in the world, already for 30 years. Splendid that it is also possible now to read it on the road within this app. I would say: take a combined print + app subscription, like I do (giving my printed copy to a friend).

Improved but flawed

I like the new article-based viewer, but:
- I just had to sign out and in once again to get access to the issues I own;
- I want to download all issues I own for easy offline viewing, not just one at the time (and I want to see on the main screen which issues have downloaded already);
- the article tiles are too big and a waste of space;
- with so many issues, an index or search function becomes a necessity: if the journal moves ahead, let it be done convincingly.

NIC App gives a lot of enjoyment

I'm so happy with the New in Chess app! I don't have to wait anymore for the mail delivery to read the magazine - which really helps as I'm traveling a lot.

You can read the magazine like you would with the print version, plus an interactive chess board.
The board to replay the games is clean and works very well. I think I get more out of the magazine as I don't have to replay the moves in my head anymore!
