**Offline maps**
Norgeskart allows you to download any area to be viewed while offline. Simply zoom into your favourite area and click the "download" button in the bottom left corner. Norgeskart will download the area that is currently on your screen. You will be able to name your dowloaded areas, so you can easily organise them.

Great map
Map is very good. And the option to see “steepness” on the map is great!
What would be nice is to have the option of plotting routes. But that is just a different kind of app i guess.
Great app but lacks legend

Downloaded maps broke!!!
At first the map worked like a charm. Me and my hike buddy both purchased and downloaded the offline maps in this app of the whole area that we would hike through. Additionally we had a physical map of the same area (varenr 10121, Dunderland). However, there was a small part of our hike, 15%, that went outside of said map so we depended on this app. (Map 10118 was out of stock at the local DNT) After almost a week of hiking, having used the app succesfully, we entered the Artfjellet area and BOTH (!) our downloaded offline maps stopped working. So not just mine, also my buddies’. Being in the mountains we didn’t have any signal so we were OUT OF MAPS and depended on poor trail markings. This is absolutely not done and DANGEROUS. We had to go higher up in order to get a signal and see where we were on the online map. Hence I’m giving it two stars. I paid €10 for nothing, as we were only able to use the maps ONLINE, but that’s free of charge. So be aware people! Again, we normally always have a physical map for backup and don’t depend on the digital version but this wasn’t possible for a small prt of the trip. Please fix this bug! With regards.

I am sorry to hear your story. I am glad that you made it back. The issue that you just described was addressed in latest 2.7.0 version. The problem was that offline maps expired in time and app refuse to show them.
