5K Pacer is an 8 week running program that incorporates intervals of running, walking, and faster running into your routine.

It works on your speed with an awesome walk - run - fast run routine that gradually builds your stamina & strength. Doing this program 3 times a week will steadily improve your fitness level and it also makes running a LOT more interesting and fun. On the 8th week you will run a faster 5K.

Sound

The only problem with the app is the sound thru earplugs (iPhone)

Started running with the 5K app and after completed that now starting with the 5K pacer.

Good app but could do with an update

I really like the app (like the other run apps), but this one could do with an update compared to the 10K runner app for instance. It doesn’t fit the screen properly and needs the sound to be on.

Ok, but has some issues

I like the training program, that’s great, but the app has some usability issues.

After completing a day, it doesn’t automatically select the next day like the 5k app does. I was used to that behavior and repeated day 1 twice before I noticed that it is different here.

The app is displayed in portrait mode on my phone and in landscape mode on my iPad. Neither can be switched to the other mode by rotating. Because of cable positioning on my threadmill, I would like to either use my phone in landscape mode or my iPad in portrait mode.

There is no practical way to reset the app and start over, for instance when you want to train for a new and higher speed. You need to delete each day individually from the history list. A “clear all progress” button would be helpful.
