Limited app that defeats its purpose
Unfortunately this app to pay for parking on Chicago streets falls short spectacularly in four ways:
1: Doesn’t utilize pay as you park, instead a customer will have to decide upfront the length of the parking session. Paid 1 hour parking but the errand actually only took 30 minutes? Too bad, 30 minutes paid parking lost.
2: Minimum 30 minutes parking. Have an errand to pick up a package in the Loop and need to park 5 minutes? Too bad, you need to pay for 30 minutes.
3: Must maintain a $20 balance. Parking occasionally ? Too bad, you must always have minimum balance.
4: Must use parking service or eventually loose balance. If not using it for 3 years, don’t expect to be able to use your account, as the balance will be wiped automatically, and you’ll need to deposit another $20 to be able to park.
You will be better of to walk to a street parking meter and pay with your credit card when you park.
This app gets 1 star out of 5 for the parking payment “service”….
