My son was able to import the old data with your email help. Great and many thx for your supports. 👍🏻. It’s still is a very goof program.

Wees verstandig, kies een andere!

Was ooit een van de betere password managers, maar loopt inmiddels hopeloos achter in vergelijk met andere, goedkopere, alternatieven. Inclusief een enkele gratis Open Source oplossing!

Eenmaal flink in de buidel getast en gekocht met een zogenaamde “lifetime licence”, komt er na een tijdje een “grote upgrade” waar op opnieuw fors voor betaald moet worden. Heb ik voor versie 5 gedaan, maar nu willen ze dat voor v6 weer.
En als het nou een goedkope app zou zijn…. Maar nee, ze willen steeds weer forse bedragen voor een iOS app!

Vervolgens zeggen ze ook nog dat de v5 gebruikers alle functies behouden. Maar de werkelijkheid is dat een deel is verplaatst naar de extra licentie.

Als je dan toch genoegen neemt met wat functies minder, wordt dat niet geaccepteerd.
Ze gaan steeds meer reclame in de app gooien om je maar over te halen toch weer meer te gaan betalen. Reclame voor hun eigen premium versie wel te verstaan, waar wéér hoge bedragen voor worden gerekend. Gewoon dwars over je lijst met accounts heen…..

Ik heb hierover geklaagd en het antwoord is samengevat: “Het interesseert ons niet, we willen meer geld verdienen en gaan dit voorlopig niet veranderen”
Het gaat bij deze ontwikkelaars dus om je geld en niet om je te helpen je accounts veilig te houden.

Ik begin me af te vragen wat ze dan eigenlijk nog meer met je accounts doen. Waarom moet je data eigenlijk perse op hun servers staan? Waarom wordt lokaal opslaan of in iCloud, Dropbox, Box of andere cloud storage niet meer ondersteund? Omdat ze tegen eigen zeggen je data toch gebruiken? Ik weet het niet hoor, maar het gaat ze duidelijk om geld en data is het nieuwe geld…..

Er zijn genoeg alternatieven die trouwens wel externe cloud opslag zoals iCloud, Dropbox, Box ondersteunen.

Helaas heb ik veel accounts in MSecure staan. Het wordt nog even een klus om over te stappen, dus ik kan helaas niet direct over naar een alternatief.

Maar ga je nu beginnen met een password manager? Kies een andere dan deze!

Als u een mSecure 5 Pro-licentie heeft, hoeft u niet te betalen voor een upgrade naar mSecure 6. Het is mogelijk dat u een nieuwe account hebt gemaakt nadat u de nieuwste versie van de app hebt gedownload, en als u dat hebt gedaan, kan mSecure op geen enkele manier weten dat u een licentie hebt gekocht terwijl u bent aangemeld bij de andere account. Als u contact opneemt met ons ondersteuningsteam, kunnen we u helpen ervoor te zorgen dat u bent aangemeld bij het juiste account. Als dat niet de oorzaak van het probleem is, zullen we uw aankoop voor mSecure 5 vinden en de licentie toepassen zodat u een Essentials-account hebt. Dit geeft u toegang tot alle functies die u had in mSecure 5 en meer. Ook worden uw gecodeerde gegevens niet opgeslagen op onze servers als u Dropbox, iCloud of Wi-Fi synchronisatie gebruikt. U bepaalt zelf waar uw gegevens worden opgeslagen en mSecure is een van de enige wachtwoordbeheerders die haar gebruikers deze keuze biedt. Bovendien, als u uw gegevens op onze servers opslaat, maken wij daar absoluut geen gebruik van. Als u in de war bent of vragen hebt over wat er met uw gegevens in mSecure gebeurt, neem dan contact met ons op voordat u valse beweringen doet via negatieve recensies. Het doet niemand goed om iets verkeerds over een bedrijf te zeggen. Best Password Manager

I have been a long time user of mSecure, I am very happy I came across this app and started using it many years ago. In the beginning it was just a nice easy app to keep your passwords safe but it has evolved to an absolutely beautiful app to store safely more than only your passwords. When moving to v5 mSecure team made changes (like the option to store backups on their servers in stead of e-mail or i-cloud) but when the people stated that they wanted to continue using other options, mSecure brought those options back better. I like how the team not only listens to feedback but actually does something with that feedback. Today after using version 6 for one day, I opened the App again and notices that with a smile on my face thought : “nice…!!”
