This Patient Controller NR app is for use with Abbott non-rechargeable (NR) devices, such as Proclaim™ SCS systems, Proclaim™ DRG system, and Infinity™ DBS systems.
The Patient Controller NR app was developed by Abbott for people living with chronic pain and neurologic disorders who are treated by Abbott neuromodulation devices. This application helps patients conveniently manage the programs prescribed by their physicians and uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to communicate between the implanted stimulator and the Patient Controller NR app. The Patient Controller NR app runs on Abbott recommended devices (as mentioned below) and is easy to use, while the wireless interface provides patients the convenience of managing prescribed stimulation settings from a familiar iOS device.
Some of the key functions available for patients include:
- Turn stimulation ON/OFF
- Select stimulation programs for changing therapy needs
- Adjust stimulation amplitude
- Check device battery
- Turn on MRI mode for MR Conditional systems
- Activate and de-activate Surgery Mode

Gaat niet met de tijd mee.
App doet wat ‘ie moet doen. Al duurt het verbinden soms erg lang, dat is niet perse de app maar combinatie van generator en app. Waar het mis gaat met deze app is dat nieuwe telefoons niet worden ondersteund. Als je telefoon vervangen moet worden kan je de app niet meer gebruiken en ben je verplicht de iPod mee te nemen.
Update: Eindelijk een update!! De app is eindelijk weer bruikbaar 👍🏻
Works well on a really old IPod but not an IPhone 13?
The application works on an IPod and older IPhones untill Iphone 12. For some strange reason not on the IPhone 13 or IPhone 13 pro. So…you support something on a platform that is not even build or supported by Apple anymore but not on the latest devices. Strange. Little bit comparable to all those companies that are hacked because they still use an older Internet Explorer because that is the only version the IT guy understands and trusts.
Zo blij met de nieuwe update
Fijn deze nieuwe update tot de iPhone 14 is tie weer bij. Jammer voor de mensen die een iPhone 15 hebben 🙈hoop voor jullie dat het weer geen vier jaar moet duren!!
