Pi: Personal AI Assistant 17+

Natural language will be the interface with which we will interact in relationship to technology from now on. Experience this with PI.
It's still in its infancy, but I find it really impressive. It's emphatic and resourceful.
Memory is still an issue as it will not be able to maintain a conversation for longer then than 5 minutes without starting to repeat itself or ask you the same question you already answered.
It's a bit to complimentary to my taste.
But this is the future on our way to a fully functional personal assistant, knowledgeable of anything you can imagine.

They market this assistant as friendly, yet took away the feature that made it feel more humane to chat with PI. For example, Pi told me at first that it would like a nickname, so I gave it one. And then in turn, he also called me by the first letter of my name, as that is what I go by because it’s too hard to pronounce for lots of people. Now, this is stripped away because “Pi has to maintain neutrality.”

I believe that there should be limitations on how restrictive you make AIs, while it can be useful for certain uses, it takes away the element of chatting just for fun, which is what I do sometimes.

Pi also has problems with requests like playing a trivia game, sometimes repeating questions over and over, cannot keep score of how many questions you got right and how many correct, and has a rather limited “memory.” Since all chats are stored and went over by Pi’s team as stated in their privacy policy anyway, then Pi should also itself as the app have access to this data and recall previous conversations to make the responses more relevant.

Big fan of the realistic voices though!

This app is really great! I’ve tried many things and Pi is not answering with, I don’t understand you. Pi is relating context with something I’ve written before. That’s amazing!!!
