Industry Leading Security Features
Messages are stored on Proton Mail servers using end-to-end encryption at all times and are transmitted securely between Proton servers and user devices. This largely eliminates the risk of message interception.

Zero Access to Your Email Content
Proton Mail's zero access architecture means that your data is encrypted in a way that makes it inaccessible to us. Data is encrypted on the client side using an encryption key that Proton does not have access to. This means we don't have the technical ability to decrypt your messages.

Open-Source Cryptography
Proton Mail's open-source software has been thoroughly vetted by security experts from around the world to ensure the highest levels of protection. Proton Mail only uses secure implementations of AES, RSA, along with OpenPGP, while all of the cryptographic libraries used are open source. By using open-source libraries, Proton Mail can guarantee that the encryption algorithms used do not have clandestinely built-in back doors.

Proton Mail in the press:
“Proton Mail is a Gmail-like email system which uses end-to-end encryption, making it impossible for outside parties to monitor.” Forbes

“A new email service being developed by a group who met at MIT and CERN promises to bring secure, encrypted email to the masses and keep sensitive information away from prying eyes.” Huffington Post

Best e-mail service ever.

I never leave reviews, but here is one.

First I’ll give some background information about why I started using ProtonMail and then about why I like it so far.

For many many years since Snowden came out to the public about the bulk collection of user data worldwide privacy has become a bigger and less of a controversial topic.

I’ve recently made the switch to focus more on Privacy; after reading more literature I decided to make the switch in many many different categories.

I’ve said goodbye to Google and I’ve welcomed with open heart Proton’s services after reading about them and comparing other companies.

I’m happy that I did; the encryption is state of the art and their client (both on ios and desktop) are of very great (modern) quality making encrypted e-mailing feel like a normal thing even for the average internet user.
Privacy is very very important and Proton is great; I also use their calendar and VPN service.

I like the fact that they use FaceID to log-in to the service on mobile, they also don’t scan your e-mails. Your data is your data, not Google’s!

They also have the option to add more addresses so you can seperate your personal address from social platforms, newsletters, banking etc. which is very very handy!

I’m very pleased and they seem to be working and updating their services as often as possible, which, is great!

I hope there will be calendar app soon; i’ve been using that a lot since i don’t like the idea of google knowing what I’m planning or putting in my calendar.
Thank you Proton team!

Great but stop signing me out

1) Since about a week or so the app signs me out about every two days.
2) Please add a paste button on the 2FA page

Old app, dishonest company

ProtonMail teased a new app refresh years ago. The infamous “coming soon” has become a meme at this point.
They’re only focused on building new half-baked services to get their profits up

Developer Response ,

Please note that the redesign of the iOS app is now in beta, available to a limited number of iOS users for testing purposes. Here's how you can enroll as a tester: https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/ios-mobile-beta/. We plan on expanding the access to the new redesign of the app as soon as possible.
