Qaly members stay heart healthy:

“I would like to thank everyone reading the ECGs on Qaly. Because of Qaly, I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with SVT and was told it was probably never an anxiety disorder. I have lived 15 years of hell thinking I was having intermittent panic attacks and agoraphobia. Getting set up for an ablation. I will be forever grateful.”

— Marcie D. from Alabama

“Qaly was so helpful in quickly identifying signs of a potentially serious heart condition … Without Qaly, I would have blown off the ECG and maybe shown it to my primary care doctor at my next appointment a few months away.”

— Lori B. from Virginia

“My Apple Watch categorizes my arrhythmia as normal or inconclusive, which makes me question what I’m feeling. Without Qaly, it would’ve taken me another 6 months to a year to take this to a doctor. With Qaly I gained valuable information. Qaly is the key.”

— Jessi I. from Washington

Pretty good, few loose ends and sub options

The app looks good (misses a dark mode) and clear, easy to use. Staff responds and judges ECG’s fast and do so very well albeit a tad bit generic. (Eg: call “SVT” rather than be specific such as “suspect AV-NRT”). Staff is very friendly. It’s too bad you can’t send a follow-up question. It would be nice if you can do so once or twice. (I understand having a constant chat option would be too much work for the techs. Maybe more when paying extra?) What is a problem with the app though is that it’s very much unclear if the app synchronises all your ECG’s to their servers or processes them locally and only uploads when you ask a review. This is very uncomfortable not knowing. The privacy policy doesn’t clearly explain what is done with the medical data that is uploaded either. You also cannot remove or request a removal of your data through the app, nor even delete your account through the app or anywhere else at all that I could find. This I find problematic, privacy in medical apps should be crystal clear and very well maintained. Furthermore, there’s only a subscription for unlimited ECG’s and that’s a bit tough. The yearly price is quite reasonable though a lot for many people. I’d prefer an option for a limited amount of ECG’s or a prepaid package for x amounts of ECG’s. Finally, they should offer a more expensive option to interpret multi-lead ECG. All-in-all, the app does what it promises, is good and only has a few points that need to be fixed; namely on the end of privacy.

-edit- One annoying thing is they sometimes send emails asking questions, or for example respond to this review suggesting I should get in touch with them to join a feedback group, but then when you get in touch they *never* respond to you. Absolute silence.

Developer Response ,

Beautiful feedback. Thank you. We’ll improve based on this, and we’d like to invite you to be a ReadMyECG design partner. It’s a tight-knit community of super-users who provide feedback as we push app updates, and help guide the direction of the app. Since we don’t have a clear way to contact you, mind sending us an email at support@readmyecg.co? Would love to have you join our design partner slack channel. Thanks again.

I never write reviews

QALY has helped me enormously over the last year I’ve started using them. Indeed the only thing (UI) related I would add is a Dark Mode. But the service is amazing! Thanks for the high quality.
