In this Maintenance Update:
• The Close Gap with Tracks assistant has been improved to avoid displaying duplicate combinations, show better progress information while searching for connections, offer enhanced settings for customizing the function, and to accelerate connection finding.
• Compatibility issues with macOS High Sierra (10.13) and macOS Mojave (10.14) have been resolved.
• An issue with the news link of the Welcome window has been corrected.
The update also includes additions and updates to the bundled library catalog of track systems and accessories.
RailModeller Pro 6.4 adds
• A Search feature to locate elements across the entire catalog of track libraries and the active layout document
• A point editor to easily review and edit individual point coordinates of line and polygon elements as well as the corner points of baseboard elements
• Improved Touch Bar Support throughout the app offering e.g. preset zoom levels, parallel track distances, QuickFilter categories and more
Additional changes in version 6.4 include
• A new inspector for text elements showing the font and a summary of the selection
• Improvements to the Info inspector
• Selections consisting of elements with multiple stroke or fill colors now show a multi-value indicator similar to e.g. Numbers
• Improvements and bug fixes for the stock and the custom key bindings editor
RailModeller Pro 6.4 runs natively on Apple silicon Macs and Intel Macs.

Goede tool, wat kleine puntjes
Over het algemeen doet Railmodeller wat ie moet doen goed. Ik gebruik het voor MArklin C en K tracks.
Twee zaken waar ik kritiek op heb: het aangeven van hoogteverschillen is tijdrovend. Per rail aangeven welk percentage of hoogte deze moet hebben kost veel tijd. Ook het resultaat is mager. Nauwelijks goed te zien als je het model kantelt. Dit moet beter kunnen. (Advies: geef dan hogere waarden aan per track dan in werkelijkheid)
Ander punt is de selectie van een rail om deze te verplaatsen. Een selectie heeft twee effecten: je kunt de rail verplaatsen en je kunt kiezen voor een extra aantal rails om deze ineens op te nemen in je baan. Vooral bij korte stukjes levert dat een gevecht op en moet er voortdurend verwijderd worden, omdat de app rails toevoegt die je niet nodig hebt.Jammer.
In general: good tool.
Two point of critics: To define differences in height you have to do this one track each. (elevation and grade) A lot of work. The result is hardly visible if you make a general view of your model.
The second point is that selection of a track results in multiple options. Mostly you have to positioning the track but selection shows then also the possibility to place not one but a number of tracks in one go. WIth small tracks it is a problem.
RailModeler Pro is een aanrader.
Ik gebruik RailModeller Pro om een spoorplan te maken in schaal N.
Het is een fijn programma om mee te werken.
Je kunt alle merken rails aan elkaar kopellen in je tekening.
(Dit zal in de praktijk niet altijd passen.)
Later werk ik de tekening bij naar peco code 55 wissels en flexrails.
Je kunt zo goed stoeien met de verschillende boogstralen / elementen van alle merken.
De smart Insert fuctie is erg prettig.
Met deze functie verbind je in een paar klikken de losse elementen met elkaar.
De tekening is 1:1 printbaar en geeft zo een precies beeld van wat je ontworpen hebt.
Ik ben uren zoet met dit programma en het is zeker zijn geld waard.
Ontwerpen met RailModeller Pro
Na de eerste 50 railstukken, die zonder kennis van het programma, in relatief korte tijd tot een begin van een baanplan hebben geleid, was de volgende stap logischerwijs, het aanschaffen van de Pro versie. Hiermee heb ik snel mijn eerste baanplan kunnen ontwikkelen. Werkend op een IMac werkt het programma uitermaten intuitief.
