PS. Rename X can also be used in Dutch and German. In Mac OS Ventura or later, go to System Settings/General/Language and Region/Applications. Add Rename X and choose an other language.

Best rename app for Mac ever!
I rename loads of photo files on a regular basis and this app does the work flawlessly. Nice touch is that you can batch rename actions into one execution therefore swiftly reformat your file name completely in one stroke.
The other day I had an issue with serializing photo files that have the same creation date where those with the same date get a serial number of its own which in my case is unwanted. Within 24 hours the developer replied ánd updated the app where you can now choose to serialize photo files with the same creation date or not.
All in all, the app and its developer deserves 5 stars!

This app works as expected en does it quickly. It had all the options you need, but has a straight forward intuitive design.
Great tool, superb for fixing Illegal Characters in cloud drives
Ever run into those pesky "can't sync that file because it has &()#*E$&)" in onedrive or such? This fixes it brilliantly.... batch replace naughty characters across folders, make replace sets to round up the usual suspects. 10/10
