Little Buggy ... iPhone 12 Pro update please

I got this stabilizer for a new iphone in 2020. With nothing else to do at home it seemed like a good time to try to better my iphone photography with a phone stabilizer. After a lot of research I decided to go with Joby instead of DJI and in some respects I am happy. However this app is like never updated so I can hope that maybe in the coming years it'll add all the lenses my iphone pro has. That is a major down that I had honestly not anticipated that Joby would leave their app controls untouched for such a product.

The stabilizer is mostly good. It has some drift as I cannot quite get my phone to balance in it freely. Don't even get my started on switching from portrait to landscape. I thought my phone was going to be busted when I tried that once it is very buggy and the motors went freaking nuts! You need to really make sure everything is loose and free and that you are holding the arm perfectly flat to attempt that change. Otherwise it just flings around wildly trying to position i don't know what!! That is my main complaint. This stabilizer likes landscape mode and it does not handle portrait well. I am still going to try it out and hope either this app is updated or I can get their hardware to work onsomeone else’s apps. And for extra lens and camera features just just the stabilizer and disregard their app use your camera photo app and benefit from the internal motors keeping phone still. Avoid the app unless using landscape video mode.
