iCloud sync removed
Stay's most important feature for me was always that userscripts I installed on my Mac would sync to the Stay extension on my iPhone through iCloud. I even upgraded to pro for that reason. In the latest update, the iCloud sync got removed altogether. Using the app offline is not an option either. The app now requires signing in with 'Stay sync' to use it, which involves creating an account with the developer, or logging in using a 3rd party service (Login with WeChat). Sign in with Apple isn't even possible, which is a requirement according to Apple's guidelines.
To add insult to injury, in this new update the identification method is used to track you, which means that the developer can now see everything you do in the app. Bye bye privacy.
Luckily, I haven't updated the iPhone app yet, and I backed up the old version with iCloud sync on my Mac that I'm gonna restore and which I'm going to keep using until I find an alternative userscript manager that supports both automatic script updates as well as iCloud sync to replace the Stay app for good.
