De Steam-chatapp bevat vele belangrijke functies van de chat in de Steam-client, waaronder:
Vriendenlijst - Kom er snel achter wie aan het spelen of online is. Je aangepaste categorieën en favorieten zijn er ook, net als op de pc.
Functierijke chats - Je chats worden nog beter met links, video's, tweets, GIF's, Giphy, Steam-emoticons en meer, allemaal in een nog hogere kwaliteit.
Uitnodigingslinks - Voeg via een link nieuwe vrienden toe op Steam. Genereer een uitnodiging die je per sms of e-mail kunt versturen.
Aanpasbare meldingen - Met mobiele meldingen hoef je nooit meer een bericht of speluitnodiging te missen. Je kunt je meldingen per vriend, groepschat en chatkanaal aanpassen.
Groepschats - Houd iedereen op de hoogte. Groepen maken het makkelijker om met je community's in contact te blijven en spelavonden met je beste vrienden te organiseren.

Never sure if info shown is outdated
This app desperately needs an update.
Whenever I open it, the friends list’s status looks exactly the way it looked when I closed the app last time. So, people are shown to be online, while they are perhaps not online anymore. You have to wait a few seconds for the app to update the view, but it doesn’t tell you that it’s updating in the background, so you never know when it’s done updating either.
Please do NOT show data that could be outdated! It’s a lot better to not show any data at all, until the correct statuses are loaded.
Now, this wouldn’t be *such* a big problem, if it worked reliably after a few seconds. However, sometimes the app doesn’t update the view at all, or shows wrong information (different from what can be seen in the friends list on my PC).
For instance, recently, the app showed that a friend of mine was online an hour ago, while he’s on vacation and I know for a fact he didn’t log on for days (I checked on my PC, where the info was presented correctly).
Please fix these kinds of basic issues!
Much better
Massive improvement over the regular Steam app, which has not been updated in years. Really hoping Valve either moves the authenticator to this app, or improves the UI of the regular Steam app.
Failed to connect to steam: while servers online
App keeps saying it failed to connect to steam on the login page, even though steam server is online.
