TapTapSee is designed to help the blind and visually impaired identify objects they encounter in their everyday lives.

Simply tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture. TapTapSee can photograph any two or three-dimensional object at any angle and speak the identification back to the user (Note: Spoken identification requires VoiceOver to be turned on).

TapTapSee helps blind and visually impaired users become more independent in their day-to-day activities.

very helpful app to define what something is

it does take a bit of practice and getting used to, to know how to position the phone and the camera, and the object you want to identify, and i assume issues with this lead to sometimes certain things not being identified right the first few times. I have found it very worth to keep practicing, because this is a really helpful ap.

Nice app, but will the video function ever come back?

This is a useful app and it works nicely. I am starting to wonder if the video function will ever come back though. I really liked that function, a specially because no other image recognising app I know of has this. Quite some time ago it was taken down and it was said that that was done to be able to improve it and that it would come back better in the future, able to analyse longer videos and such. That was quite a while ago though and now I would rather have the ten seconds video function back then wait another year for 5 seconds more or something. I mean, an improvement would be nice of course, but it has been such a long time now that I am starting to wonder if it is even still being worked on. So yeah, I hope that function will come back soon, improved or otherwise.
