Description
Vivid allows users to double the brightness of their MacBook Pro and Pro Display XDR, system-wide!
The new MacBook Pros and the Pro Display XDR have displays that can go up to 1.600 nits of brightness. By default these levels of brightness can only be reached when watching HDR videos or by using Metal applications. Until now.
Vivid uses standard Apple APIs to allow users to make their screen more than two times brighter.
Note that Vivid only works on XDR displays as they allow a wider brightness range than regular displays. Supported monitors are the MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max and the Apple XDR Display. Other HDR displays may work as well, please contact us if you run into issues at support@getvivid.app.
Vivid does NOT work on MacBook Pros without the M1 Pro or M1 Max chip. You can use Vivid with an Pro Display XDR if you have an M1 or M2 MacBook as well.
