Works very well
Fast&reliable. Awesome remote control for music and movies. I connected my server to a Beamer and I choose video content by using this app. Starting music in the living room without having to turn on my projector
Response of the app is fast works well. One bug on Linux is:
The app sometimes fails to display favorites. This happens because: when u open the VLC remote app and you choose your computer, sometimes it displays IP adres and sometimes it displays Computer name.
Even though it is the same machine the favorites list are linked by either computer name or computer IP.
This might be solvable by defining a hostname in your network settings?
Awesome app
This app is mandatory if you watch series using a macbook with vlc linked to your tv. Probably works for other devices too. I thought the pricing was pretty high, but after using the free version for a weekend I decided to buy it. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because there’s nothing I miss in the app. Thanks for making this!
Good
Good app. It is not clear though why there is a YouTube player in it, it doesn’t even play to the computer. It makes me worry what information is being sent to Google.
It would be good if the app integrated with the playback controls on the lock screen.

Glad you like the app. I'd love to be able to integrate with the lock screen controls, but sadly Apple only allows that for apps that are playing music/video on the device rather than remote controlling.
Re the youtube player - the idea is that you can browse youtube on your phone/pad, click play and it will start playing in VLC on your computer.
