Terrible app, even worse service

If you are tempted to try those fancy electric scooters, prepare for a lot of hassle.

Let me explain:

The scooters look amazing, there is no doubt in that but you cant base a whole service on a single element.

From a user experience perspective your app is the worst i have ever tried, and i am possibly your target customer: mid 20s digital native, searching for alternative ways of transportation.

- You cant base a whole experience on nice visuals. I care about my ride not about listening to music on my way. Think of that, you are offering a transportation service and not a moving speaker?

Here, it is important to mention that I used your service in Berlin.

I downloaded the app and the first issue appeared. My Bulgarian phone number was not accepted. I entered my other number and finally received the code. At that stage, I was so amazed by how those scooters look so I decided to go further besides this small issue.

Then I picked up the scooter.
Issue number 2: your apple maps integration is terrible: no relevant information regarding where the closest scooter is and no information regarding the zones I can ride in.

After scanning the code I got a couple of pages ‘terms and conditions’ which to be honest i doubt anyone would read at this stage of their user journey. I accepted them, so no problem with that.

After a decent ride I finally arrived home, unable to lock the scooter. Strange hm?! I thought my bluetooth connection was the problem: no. It turned out that I live outside of your ‘green’ areas. Nice that I thought of that as otherwise you would be still charging me now, 12 hours later.

Then I had to ride back and park the scooter is a suitable area and walk back home. So I basically paid for my walking as well. This is actually sustainable.

You rushed into releasing something that is not ready yet. Please consider my feedback and improve your service as you built it with no thought of the most important factor: your customer.

Apparaat viel iedere keer uit. Uiteindelijk moest ik 20 minuten lopen om een zone te bereiken waar ik de fiets kon neerzetten.
