Axis & Allies 1942 Online 9+

I want to like this game. It has a good gameplay. Good adaption of the board game but keeps crashing during every battle which makes it kind of unplayable.. too bad.

Hello! Axis & Allies 1942 Online on iOS will now use Minimal High Quality Sprites by default: only unit icon sprites will be used on the game & combat boards. The setting (which players can find & tweak to their liking in Graphics -> Image Content And Resolution) will hopefully mitigate black screens and constant reloading. The game could be a 5-star. But it crashes all the time, and the power consumption is like nothing I have evner seen.
Playing on an IPhone 13 pro.
Every battle makes the game crash several times. When it crashes it instantly reloads, which is a good thing i guess. But usually the «rolls» didn’t get saved. So the game tries again. New rolls, different outcome. After several crashes the game usually actually manage to resolve the entire battle. But it takes so much extra time!
Fix the game engine please!

Hi there! Make sure the game uses Minimal High Quality Sprites in settings: only unit icon sprites should be used on the game & combat boards. Freezes so often it’s barely playable. When working, it’s a fairly good recreation of the board game, albeit not the original version of A&A but apparently a later edition with big changes to the territories, units and other game play rules. These changes could make the game interesting since old tricks and strategies no longer apply, but the freezes and crashes makes the game more frustrating than entertaining.

Update version 1.0.4: Better, but I’m still having trouble, mostly with the combat screen. Particularly when having to choose weather to continue a battle or retreat. Pushing either button does nothing, but exiting the app and relaunching after a couple of seconds resolves the problem, but is rather annoying. The dice roll is also very difficult to follow. The visual effects freeze for several seconds, but eventually finishes.
