Almost perfect

We use this app for work, and it’s brilliant. It would be perfect if there was a way to change the order of scanned items that expires on the same date. We scan items in the order of where they’re placed in the shelf, and sometimes the entries change places afterwards. Also problematic if we forget an item, and go back a few “places” to scan. We use the app daily, so it would save us a lot of time.

Pricey

The app is easy to manage all sorts of items with exiry date. What I really find to be useful about it is the option of sharing items between users within a group. Synchronizing registered items within the household has turned out very helpful in everyday life. Although the 50 items included when using the app for free might be a fair amount to most, it quickly turned out my need exceeded that limit, so I've been using the paid limitless version. What turned out to be the dealbreaker for me, was the price. An annual subscription price increase from $43 to $60 plus taxes, is way too much considering there are alternatives out there that offer almost the same for far less. A more reasonable price or alternatively additional cheaper plans with a higher amount of limited items would be welcome.

The app itself is pretty good. For those who have less than 50 items to keep track of, I would recommend Beep's free plan for individuals. It's intuitive, and the barscan works well with very effective storing and fetching of data.

One more thing I'd like to mention is that when attempting to save an additional item of the identical type and expiry date as an item already saved, an alert shows up preventing duplicates. Although it's possible to still save a duplicate with a small workaround, the alert should rather present users the option of saving it as a duplicate or not.
