Description
A great tool for converting glasses prescriptions to contact lens prescriptions. If you're trying to do a contact lens fitting and don't have time to perform a vertex conversion, this program will recommend a prescription for you.
Unlike most vertex conversion utilities, this program takes into account various limitations when performing contact lens fittings. Examples of some of these considerations include:
1) Recommending a spherical equivalent for cylinder under -0.50 diopters
2) Taking into account the fact topic lenses start at -0.75 diopters and continue in -0.50 diopters increments
3) Rounding the axis to the nearest tens toward the closest major axis (90 or 180)
An additional (NEW) feature of the program is that it makes contact lens brand suggestions based on replacement schedule, affordability, astigmatism and presbyopia.
