Description

HOW WE KNOW WE'RE ALIVE is an award winning, hour long melancholy, narrative mystery set in the bible belt of Sweden.

Welcome to Härunga – a small industrial town in the bible belt of the mid–north of Sweden. You play as Sara, an aspiring writer who, after having been away for 10 years, returns home in order to investigate the tragic fate of her estranged best friend. The days grow short quickly this far up north – and the rain never seems to let up...

Lovingly crafted and richly animated, explore the melancholy atmosphere of a small town that time seemingly forgot. Meet old friends and enemies and piece together the mystery of what happened after your friendship tragically fell apart.

As in life, what you say will impact things in hidden ways and not everything may be as it seems. Who is telling whose truth and can you know the difference?

Short boring “game”

Had to to watch videos of people playing this “game” to see if I missed something obvious, but no. This “game” is just a short story with boring ending.

It give you an impression that something mysterious has happened and that you are about to unravel the mysterious that the town holds, but then just suddenly ends with rolling credits, leaving you with a feeling that someone stole your money by luring you into buying this “game”. The fact that this is in the game section is in itself a scam, because it just a short «interactive» story, if you could call clicking through a couple of dialog choices that has absolutely no impact on the “game” storyline.

Hour long is also stretching it. Would guess it took me less than 45 minutes to click through the story.

I love pixel games, and the graphics is ok, with a few bugs here and there, but the story just doesn’t hold up and you end up feeling scammed. Gonna demand a refund for this one as this isn’t a game, and it feels like the writers of the story gave up before finishing.
